About Vivekananda Kendra
Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari is a spiritually oriented service organization with headquarters at Kanyakumari. It was after the inauguration of Vivekananda Rock Memorial at Kanyakumari in 1970, which is built with the support of lakhs of common people and many state governments to commemorate the memory of Swami Vivekananda's historic meditation that the organization was thought of to take the message and work of Swami Vivekananda to the masses of India. Swami Vivekananda gave the message for India to elevate herself so that she could contribute for the progress of humanity.
